The Listener Review the guide's included content, seller, price and terms before continuing to payment. Afterwards, use Your purchases to save the agreement, open the purchased guide and reach its files.
Before you start
Sign in with the Bassilisk account you want to use for the purchase. Access belongs to that account. Keep using it when you return to the guide or download a purchased file.
A paid offer lists the protected content it unlocks. Files & resources are protected; check the offer for any other included sections. The public Showcase remains readable without purchasing. Read the content already visible on the build, then compare the offer with the instructions and files you need.
The preview separates downloadable files from external links and lists file formats where available. A ZIP entry counts an archive, not the items inside it. The purchase details state: “External links lead to third-party sites. Purchase does not guarantee access to their content.”
Steps
- Open the build's guide access offer and follow its purchase action to Review your purchase. Check the guide title, author, seller, included content and total price. The page describes the price as “One payment”. If it says a purchase is being confirmed, open Your purchases before trying to pay again.
- Read the seller's delivery and access commitment, language, requirements and tax information. Follow the build licence link. Open Purchase details for the seller's legal identity, postal address, email and telephone, support information, purchase permissions and resource licences.
- Read the linked Buyer Licence, Seller Terms and Purchase policies. Keep these separate from the Build Guide licence. If the information or a document you need cannot be opened, stop before continuing and contact the seller through the details shown.
- Read each declaration. The eligibility declaration says: “I am at least 18, resident in Germany, and buying for private purposes as a consumer.” Licence acceptance, immediate supply and withdrawal acknowledgement have separate checkboxes. Select them only when the statements apply and you agree.
- Choose Continue to payment to open Stripe checkout. Check the order there before completing payment. Returning to Bassilisk starts with a processing state; the return itself does not establish that payment has been verified.
- Open Your purchases. Check Payment and Guide access. If payment is still confirming, use Check payment status to reload the page. Do not make another payment to clear a pending state.
- Choose Save purchase agreement to keep a text copy of the recorded agreement. If access says Save your agreement to open, save it and reload Your purchases. Then use Open purchased guide when it is available.
- In the purchased guide, follow the upload links under Project resources or Included files. A file can open in the browser or download, depending on its format. Use these purchase links while signed in with the purchasing account.
What happens next
After verified payment, Bassilisk prepares a confirmation email for the email address recorded at checkout. It contains the purchase agreement and a link to Your purchases. Keep the agreement for the seller's contact details, order reference and accepted terms.
Your purchases also shows whether the confirmation email is pending, sent or failed. Saving the agreement gives you a copy without waiting for the email. Follow the displayed recovery instruction if the guide is waiting for that confirmation.
The purchased guide is a saved snapshot. Its page says: “This copy is available through your purchase. It may differ from the author's current build.” Return through Your purchases when you want that copy. Use the public build page to inspect the author's current publication.
Common mistakes
- Signing in with a different account and expecting it to show the purchase.
- Assuming a successful checkout return means the guide is ready immediately.
- Paying again because the confirmation email has not arrived.
- Treating download access as permission to redistribute a file. Check its licence and the purchase permissions.
