Set up your seller details and Stripe account, then prepare a paid offer in your build's Access tab. A published build, offer approval and activation are separate steps.

Before you start

Seller setup is for invited sellers in Germany with an unrestricted account. You must own the build. The seller form requires the declaration “I sell as a trader.” Before an offer can be submitted, your build needs an approved publication with no pending review.

Prepare your customer contact details and check the published guide and resource licences. You must be able to supply the content and grant the permissions you offer. Follow Publish your build for publication.

Steps

  1. Open Seller account. Complete Seller details and Sales and obligations using the field guide below. Read both confirmations and choose Save seller details. Wait for the saved confirmation before leaving.
  2. Choose Continue Stripe onboarding. Stripe handles business and bank setup. Returning to Bassilisk checks the account; it does not approve an offer. Read the status under Stripe setup.
  3. Use Check Stripe status to retrieve the current status. If the page says Stripe is reviewing your information and nothing is due, wait for that review. If the setup link expires, return to this page and continue onboarding to request another link. Your existing account stays linked.
  4. Under Build offers, select your build and choose Open access settings. You can also open Access from the build editor. One seller account serves your builds; each offer has its own setup.
  5. Choose Paid under Who can access. Enter One-time price (EUR) and read the percentage labelled “fee” beside it. Follow the price range shown by validation. Choose Save to continue with buyer details.
  6. Check Included files and the published revision shown above them. New offers protect Files & resources. The page describes this as “Build information stays public. This setting controls access to Files & resources.” If it lists additional sections becoming public, review and confirm that change.
  7. Complete What buyers get, Requirements (optional), Language and Access commitment. Leaving requirements blank records “No special requirements.” Read any personal-building permission offered beside the licence before enabling it. Choose Save draft.
  8. Choose Send offer for approval. Review the confirmation about supply, permissions and accurate buyer details, then choose Confirm and send. This submits the offer; it does not start sales.
  9. Follow Approval and launch. Address the review note if changes are requested. Once the requirements are complete, read the linked seller terms and buyer licence, accept the seller terms when requested, and choose Activate paid access. Check the resulting status.

Seller fields and why they are asked

  • Legal name identifies the person or business supplying the guide.
  • Street and house number, Postcode and Town or city form your customer service address. Enter a five-digit German postcode. An older saved address may appear as Service address.
  • Country records the seller country. The form offers Germany.
  • Customer contact email and Telephone give customers monitored contact routes for questions and requests. Include the telephone country code.
  • Relationship to Bassilisk states whether you are independent of the operator or are the operator.
  • VAT and invoices records the tax treatment and invoice information applicable to your sales.
  • Support contact tells customers how to request help or a remedy.
  • Consumer arbitration records your actual participation or obligation. Use your own wording when the offered choice does not apply.

What happens next

Your saved seller details create a review version. Changing them makes earlier offer approvals need review against that version. Buyer-detail edits stay in a working draft; inspect Submitted offer to see the fixed submission.

After a sale, use Open Stripe Dashboard from Seller account for the connected account's payment administration. Bassilisk's seller page shows setup status and build offers. The buyer uses Your purchases for the guide and agreement. Use the contact information you supplied to handle questions about your content.

Common mistakes

  • Treating a Stripe return, a saved draft or moderator approval as activation.
  • Describing unpublished files as included in the published offer.
  • Assuming the displayed fee is a payout estimate. Read the linked seller terms before accepting them.

Read Files and resources in a Build Guide, Licences for guides and files and Understand purchase terms before submitting your offer.
